Parking Lot

There are fifty cars in a parking lot

There are two cars looking for a parking spot

It’s a race to the spot, the only one left

It almost seems like a fight to the death

That black car turns, first left then right

The red car just might win the fight

The black car sees it, bright and clear

The red car is already so near

Oh, the red is about to turn in

I can’t watch! Who will win?

Wait, what’s that? A new car, too?

It looks like this one is blue

This one’s closer! That one is!

Oh, no, oh, no- the engine’s fizzed

The red one’s out, gone for good

The blue one’s there- just by a hood

The black car turns, gives on up

Come on, be a real grownup.
