Book Review: Gathering Blue

imageGathering Blue by Louis Lowry is, to be honest, not as action-packed as the first book in the Giver series. It is about an orphaned girl who has the gift of sewing.

She is ‘hired’ by the Council Of Elders to sew a very important robe. She is taught by a dyer how to color the threads. The only one neither can make, though . . . is blue.
